Bringing Care Closer: Free Health Screening for the Aged in Senya Breku

TheoTrek International, in collaboration with Esse Quam Videri, will soon host a General Health Screening Outreach in Senya Breku, located in Ghana’s Central Region.

This community-focused initiative is designed to support elderly members of the community by providing accessible health checks, basic medical guidance, and practical wellness education.

Purpose of the Outreach

Access to routine medical screening remains limited for many aged individuals in rural and coastal communities. This programme aims to:

• Provide free basic health screening
• Offer blood pressure and glucose testing
• Deliver general health assessments
• Share preventive healthcare guidance
• Conduct health education talks
• Provide basic assistance where needed

Our goal is early detection, improved awareness, and promoting healthier lifestyles among senior citizens.

Why This Matters

As individuals age, regular health monitoring becomes critical. Conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and other non-communicable diseases often go undiagnosed due to lack of routine screening.
